Last: After van Gogh is based on Tree Roots, 1890, which has now been determined to be his last painting, based on antique postcards of the rue Daubigny in Auvers-sur-Oise in France. The postcard was discovered in 2020 and used to confirm the location of the painting. Portions of the trees remain to this day.
