In 1869, Monet and Renoir spent time together at La Grenouillère (‘The Froggery’). This was a riverside bathing resort, popular among weekend travelers. The resort was on the Ile de Croissy, facing the Seine near Paris, that included a floating café, spa, and boating. Clearly, the two worked side by side.
